Kevin Lawson stepped onto a stage for the first time in 1989 and he hasn’t stepped off since. The
ability to carry a tune has allowed Kevin to carry his songs all across the globe from Atlanta to Athens, Alabama to Afghanistan, Jacksonville to Jersey, Miami to Maine, New Hampshire to New Orleans, Nashville to NYC, Louisville Kentucky to Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, St. Augustine to Seattle, Honolulu to Wales and so many places in between.
A former ASCAP Songwriter of the Year, Kevin is a prolific writer and music-maker. His songs have been featured on television programs & commercials as well as films. He has performed as part of a duo (Blue Prayer), a trio (3 Lost Souls), quartets (Supermatic, Dixie Horsepower) a quintet (Kevin Lawson Band) and has played in other bands including Trans -Siberian Orchestra, Michelle Malone and Keni Thomas & Cornbread.
Kevin’s impressive resume includes sharing stages & bills with an all-star roster of artists including Keith Urban, Maroon 5, Marvelous 3, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Alanis Morissette, the Indigo Girls, The Georgia Satellites, Charlie Daniels, Shooter Jennings, Darius Rucker, The Outfield, Blondie, Jefferson Starship, Vince Gill, Nancy Wilson of Heart, Modern English, Howard Jones and Karla Bonoff.
With 10 albums under his belt, Kevin has just released his latest EP titled "Send Musicians To Prison" which documents a 5 song LIVE set recorded in Nashville and distributed to over 200,000 incarcerated men & women. It's a powerful performance that shares heart, hard lessons, humor & hope. If Kevin has learned anything from his days circling the globe, it is to live with intention and continue to share the joy of music with the world.
